Court rejects claim after Germanwings crash

Germanwings was one of the Lufthansa subsidiaries which were closed down as part of the airline group’s extensive cost-saving programme due to the Covid-19 crisis. Its crash in the Alps made the headlines in 2015.

A German court on Tuesday rejected a lawsuit from bereaved families of those who died in the crash of a Germanwings jet in the Alps more than six years ago. The suit aimed to claim additional compensation for pain and suffering.
