The European Aviation Symposium will again take place at Munich Airport.

After a successful launch in January 2019, the European Aviation Symposium (EAS) will take place for the second time in Munich on January 28 – 29, 2020. The second event for the European airline industry again offers lively discussions on controversial topics.

Relations between politics and business in the aviation sector, the consequences of climate change, new mobility concepts, the future of flight sales and of course the new order of leisure airlines in Europe after the Thomas Cook insolvency. The list of hot topics currently affecting the European aviation industry is long and offers plenty of material for discussion.

More than 40 international speakers with political roles or business responsibilities will meet at the second EAS at the end of January 2020 to tackle and make progress on all these issues.

Amongst the participants on the stage will be Ryanair CMO Kenny Jacobs, Brussels Airport chief Arnaud Fest as well as Corendon CEO Yildiray Karaer. In addition, the event’s host, the long-serving head of Munich Airport, Michael Kerkloh, will contribute his many years of experience to the discussions. Kerkloh will retire at the end of this year and hand over to his successor Jost Lammers.

The founders of the event, which takes place in the Information Security Hub at Munich Airport, are, alongside fvw, the consultancy Prologis and the Travel Industry Club.
